this just might be the future of rts. worker management is tedious, but objective control needs weight. would like to see tech buildings for unit predictions/counter play.

Imo while i respect david kim, he does not have a good track record. He was the lead balance designer that oversaw the precipitous decline in sc2 viewership due to hesitance to recognize problems and resolve them quickly. Broodlord infestor Swarm host ZvZ muta play Archon toilet Reaper anti building attack Rts games are hard to balance. But some of the biggest issues in sc2 history were left in place for months or years due to ladder numbers. "we are showing win rates at the top ranks around 50%" was such a constant refrain. IMO battle aces looks neat. I doubt it will bring anybody new to RTS and veterans won't find enough to latch on to. But that aside David Kim's tenure as SC2 balance lead is not a vote of confidence.

We've kinda already had this exact game a few times before (most notably Day9's game), and we found that it kinda sucks. I'll be around and see if this game is somehow different and can make something out of a bad idea, but I'm not optimistic.

this game has insane potential. easy to ujnderstand, simple, you get right into the army engagement and doesn't take too much time per game.

Watch Arty cast SC2... you have hundreds of people booing, bored, pissed off etc... Then he plays SC1 and everyone cheers. There is no redeeming qualities of SC2. Blizzard would probably have more success making a game like SC1 - that plays like chess - with new races/mechanics etc.. and have more success that "our fan base has no patience for RTS, so we gotta make fast as fuck and take away skill for "QOL""

I love Flash, but yes, I also feel like it's a bit predictable that he will dunk on everyone until at least Ro4, so I'll just repeat what I commented on another video: He should go Random, to create a hurdle for make room for errors for others to take advantage of, to create a hurdle for himself that he can also use to flex with, and to create suspense.

The fact that random is probably objectively the best choice is hype enough, and that no one can utilize it because it's so difficult to play 3 races is cool, and if flash could start dominate with random he would dominate forever basicly

I think the hardest thing to do by far is if Flash straight up wins an ASL by playing each race. For example he wins ASL once playing Terran, wins another ASL playing Protoss and then another ASl playing Zerg.

I think the asl win as random gotta happen at some point, its such a legacy/novelty thing and im sure its something that still excites him

I'm hoping for #1 too, man! It would be sick to watch him do his thing with the new meta!

I hope Flash is back, actually a lot because he draws in the crowd. I don't celebrity endorsement much; it's gimmicky, but fortunately/sadly SC tournaments just get so hype with him! I'd prefer him going Random. That way we might get to witness his Terran play a couple of times, it's a massive surprise/excitement element, it cuts his peak skill so to make it a little bit more fair for the other players, but for the potential nerf his opponents also don't get to practice as effectively. = Random>

The music and sounds are so incredibly bad and annoying. The Artosis AI was right, this game should be called Battle Anus.

I feel like Stats should have used the rest of his Oracle energy on Statis traps after killing all of Hero's Probes instead of trying to use them to kill the Dragoons. Hero barely had any units and the only way he could have gotten around the traps would have been to move each Dragoon onto them to set them off. That would have significantly cut down his army, buying Stats a lot more time.

I think this game's direction with 10 min short game is heading in the right direction. With more and more people who has less attention span and people who are just too busy with life/work, I can find myself play this game in quick sessions. This feels like a game that can actually run in mobile devices too. I'm not too big in mobile games but I can see that happening

It seems that BW races are too weak. Their workers need more buffs.
